Vegetable oil spray is often simply vegetable oil applied using an spray bottle, atomizer or mister. This method of application allows for a much smaller amount of oil to be used and is considered healthier by some. There are also cooking sprays that are marketed as "tasting like vegetable oil", or "vegetable oil-based".
A commercial cooking spray that dispenses a very fine mist of vegetable oil and lecithin to coat unheated pans when preparing them for grilling, sautéing, broiling, roasting or baking.
