  1. Soak wal for two hours, wash the rice and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds.
  3. Then add garlic, followed by the onions and coriander powder, salt and turmeric.
  4. Put in the rice and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Add water and simmer till cooked.
  6. Serve hot with ghee.
