Ingredients[]
Burgers[]
- 16 oz ground turkey
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 each egg whites
- 4 tbsp medium salsa
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp premium olive oil
- 1 tsp essence
Emeril's "Essence"[]
- 2½ tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme

Burgers[]
- In a large bowl mix together the "essence", oregano, pepper, cumin powder, garlic powder, egg whites, bread crumbs, and salsa.
- Use a garlic press and press garlic into the turkey.
- Add the turkey, and mix thoroughly.
- Add olive oil to pan, and pre-heat on medium for 4–5 minutes.
- Shape into 4 burgers or 9-12 meatballs.
- Cook on stove top in cast iron grill pan or large non-stick pan, over medium heat. Cook burgers / meatballs for 6–8 minutes per side until center is no longer pink.
- Cover pan with lid for 2 minutes, after cooking starts.
- Place Burgers / Meatballs on rolls, add toppings, and put them In the oven for 5–10 minutes, or until the rolls begin to turn brown.
