West Indian Couperee from Jerry Thomas' Bartending Guide or How to Mix Drink—original source of recipe, out of copyright

Serves: 1

Ingredients

1½ pony-glass of brandy
1 pony-glass Maraschino or Curaçao
vanilla ice cream
nutmeg

Directions

Fill the glass one-third full of vanilla ice cream.
Mix thoroughly, and fill the glass nearly full with plain soda.
Grate a little nutmeg on top, and serve.
