Description
Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 2 16-ounce cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed*
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
- Cook onion and celery in butter in large skillet until tender. Stir in beans, salt, tomato sauce, pepper sauce and water; heat thoroughly. Serve over hot rice.
