Description

Makes 6 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 16-ounce cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed*
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 cup water


Directions

  1. Cook onion and celery in butter in large skillet until tender. Stir in beans, salt, tomato sauce, pepper sauce and water; heat thoroughly. Serve over hot rice.
