Wilted Lettuce with Hot Bacon Dressing
6 thin slices bacon, coarsely chopped 3 T. cider vinegar 1 t. sugar 1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper 2 heads Boston lettuce, washed and torn into bite size pieces
Place the bacon in a skillet over medium heat and cook until crisp, about 10 minutes. Add vinegar, sugar, and pepper to the skillet and bring to a boil. Place the lettuce in a serving bowl, pour the dressing over it, and toss quickly to distribute the dressing. Serve at once. Serves 6 Source: Unknown
