1/2 c shortening 1 c brown sugar (packed) 1 egg 2 c of flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/4 c milk 1 c chopped nuts 1 c raisins 1 c finely chopped rhubarb 1/2 c coconut Cream together the shortening and sugar. Beat in the egg. Sift dry ingredients together, and add alternately with the milk. Add the remaining ingredients rhubarb, nuts, raisins, and coconut. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375� for 12-15 min. Cool. Serve. Makes about 3-4 doz.
