  1. Cut meat into 150 – 200g (6 – 7 oz) pieces and put in a large pot of boiling water.
  2. Add turnips, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, dill, chili pepper and cook at a low boil for 1 to 1½ hours.
  3. Remove meat and vegetables, cut into slices and serve.
