Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 14-1/2-ounce can peeled whole tomatoes, chopped
- 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
Directions
- Cook onion and garlic in butter in large skillet until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, salt, basil, oregano, horseradish and black pepper.
- Simmer 20 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in shrimp and cook 10 minutes longer. Serve over hot rice. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
